CHIME Charter Elementary School Review

CHIME Charter Elementary School opened in 2001 for students in kindergarten through 5th grades. The school offers a constructivist thematic approach to education as well as one that is individualized to meet the needs of each student.

The school provides a learning environment that allows students of all abilities to be in the same classroom. The curriculum offers thematic and project based learning to provide students with an environment that helps them excel.

Along with core subjects, CHIME Charter Elementary School provides extra curricular activities including band, drama, and chorus. Sports offered include physical education classes, basketball, baseball, swimming, softball, football, soccer, and volleyball. Other programs are newspaper, academic contests, student’s council, community service, yearbook, and science & technology.

Parents are very pleased with the school and praise the enrichment programs the school offers as well as the outdoor classroom and tutoring. Parents expressed teachers communicate very well and always provide them information on their children. The majority of parents highly recommend the school. Students love the school, the open door policy, and their teachers. They expressed that the curriculum is not easy but teachers help them when they need it.

At the time of this writing, the results of the API and the California Standards Tests were not available. With the comments of parents and students, the school is doing its job of providing a quality education. However, since the results of the exams are not available, you should ask to see the results and learn more about the curriculum before enrolling your child. It is always a good idea to take a tour to ensure that the environment is one that you feel will benefit your child’s learning style.
