Center for Academic Success – Douglas K-8 Campus Review

The Center for Academic Success – Douglas K-8 Campus opened in 2001 to provide a quality education to students in kindergarten through 8th grades. The rural community was in need of an alternative educational facility that focused on the skills for students to be able to be better prepared for higher education as well as entering the workforce. This campus offers the core subjects as well as an environment in which all students can receive the help they need to succeed and reach their goals. The community as well as teachers, staff, and parents work together to create a nurturing learning environment where all students will be challenged and eager to learn.

The core foundation of the school is to provide a solid educational foundation that will help students succeed.

All parents are happy with the curriculum at the school and the progress they see with their children. The one complaint is that the school does not offer extra curricular activities or sports. The school is based on academics.

In the state of Arizona all students in 3rd through 8th grades and 10th grade are required to participate in the AIMS exam. The series of exams measure the students mastering of specific core subjects. The percentages of students that passed or exceeded the standards of the exams are listed below along with the percentages of students across the state that passed or exceeded the exams.
