Celerity Troika Charter School Review

Celerity Troika Charter School opened in 2008 to provide families with an alternative to the traditional school setting. The school offers a wide array of programs and group based learning to help students succeed. The school also works with students that are considered at risk to ensure they have the opportunity to receive a high school education and go forward to college or to join the workforce with confidence.

Along with core subjects, Celerity Troika Charter School offers extra curricular activities including drawing, dance, chorus, and computer arts. The school also offers sports students can join such as physical education classes, soccer, basketball, and yoga. Other programs offered are student council, academic contests, and community service.

Most parents agree that the school is amazing. The staff, teachers, and principal are very caring, organized, and do their best to ensure the success of each student. Students truly enjoy attending school, like the activities, and feel safe. Students also expressed that there is no bullying and everyone feels more like family. Parents cannot believe the progress they are seeing even with their kindergarteners that can do math. The majority stated the school is great.

The Academic Performance Index showed a small decrease in academic performance from 970 to 966. The California Standards Tests is given to learn if students are mastering core subjects. The various tests are given to 2nd through 11th grades in English, grades 2nd through 7th are given tests in math, and science tests are administered to students in grades 5th, 8th, and 10th, while history tests are given to students in 8th and 11th grades. The percentage of students at Celerity Troika Charter School was all above state averages with many 100%. The lowest percentage was 6th grade English Language Arts with 83% of students passing the exam while the state average was 59%.

The school is providing an excellent education for students in a safe and caring learning environment. With the response from parents and students, the school is highly recommended. It would still be in your best interest to take a tour of the school to ensure environment is right for your child before enrolling.
