Bright Beginnings School Review

Bright Beginnings School is a charter school that opened in 1996 for students in kindergarten through sixth grade. The average enrollment is 440 students. This makes for small classrooms that provide students with a nurturing environment. The core subjects are a challenging to give students a better opportunity to achieve their goals while preparing them for higher education opportunities.

Along with the core subjects Bright Beginnings School offers a variety of extra curricular activities as well including theater, painting, sculpture, photography, dance, chorus, video production, computer arts, band, community service, yearbook, student council, newspaper, academic contests, and science & technology. The school also provides the opportunity for students to enjoy various sports, which include badminton, cross-country, football, lacrosse, soccer, ultimate Frisbee, basketball, martial arts, softball, track, baseball, gymnastics, physical education classes, volleyball, and yoga.

Most parents are truly happy with the progress their children are making at Bright Beginnings School with most students surpassing their grade level in core subjects. Parents have explained their children are happy and ready to go to school without any battling to get up and going in the morning. The only bad reviews have been from parents that do not like the administration or the way in which children are chosen to attend the school. The principal of the school makes the decisions on which students will attend the school and which ones will be denied.

Overall, there are no major concerns, as most parents and students are very pleased with the school, the curriculum, and the extra curricular activities. The main objectives are the staff and principal that do not seem as caring as some parents desire.

In the state of Arizona, all students attending public and public charter schools are required to take the AIMS exam, which is a test that measures student’s ability to meet or exceed the standards set forth by the state in core subjects.
