Aspire Slauson Academy Charter Review

Aspire Slauson Academy Charter opened in 2011 and provides a quality alternative education for students in kindergarten through 5th grades. The school offers a different approach to traditional schools with personalized lesson plans that enhance the learning experience for students. Aspire Slauson Academy Charter is part of the Aspire Public Schools which is among the top performing schools in the nation that serves low-income families. On average, the school has an enrollment of just under 300 students per year.

Students that attend Aspire Public Schools are taught even in lower grades the importance of a college education. The school provides students with the tools needed to be prepared for the rest of the educational years as well as into college while instilling the desire to become life long learners.

The Aspire Slauson Academy Charter offers various learning instructions to ensure that each student can learn in the best way for each student individually. These learning methods include explicit instruction, apprenticeship, inquire, project based instruction, distributed practice, massed practice, and problem solving.

Parents are pleased that the school is giving their community the opportunity to give their children a quality education in a safe and nurturing environment. Teachers are very devoted to listening to the needs of each student and communicate with parents. Parents are also very involved in the school. The principal and staff are dedicated to providing the best educational tools possible and are always available to answer questions from parents.

At the time of this writing, the results of the California Standards Tests were not available.

To learn if the school is the best possible choice for your child you should visit the school, talk with other parents, and learn more about the curriculum as well as test results.
