Arts in Action Community Review

Arts in Action Community Charter School provide an alternative educational learning environment for students in 5th through 8th grades. The school uses an art-based curriculum that meets the standards set forth by the state.

Along with core subjects Arts in Action Community Charter School offers after school education and safety program. Throughout the week, students are placed in groups based on their age and grade level, then attend enrichment classes. The classes include physical education, dance, music, tutoring, photography, and art. Along with the above program Arts in Action Community Charter School, the school provides a Signature After School Enrichment Program. The program offered includes tutoring, arts & crafts, painting, ceramics, ballet, Hip Hop, Spanish, and Cheer for students in kindergarten through 5th grades, percussion ensemble for kindergarten and 1st graders, violin and guitar for 2nd through 5th grades, and karate for 1st through 5th grades.

Parents are happy that they can choose to have their children attend a school other than traditional schools that offer so many art programs. Students are learning and enjoying attending school. The only complaints are that the Signature After School Enrichment Program does cost a small fee and no extra curricular activities such as sports are available.

No test results were available. Since the school has not published their tests scores, it would be best to learn more about the results to ensure students are learning the core subjects set forth by the state. It would also be a good idea to take a tour of the school and talk with other parents that have students attending the school prior to enrolling your child.
