Hi,

I am currently a visiting student at Oxford University from the US. I am a history major and find the system to be completely unlike that of the US. It seems like everything is about independence, independence, and more independence. There are so many papers and all the information comes from individual study. I don’t want to sound like I’m whining, but how did you adjust to this/do you have any good tips on what to concentrate and what to ignore when we’re doing all this personal reading on new subjects?
