1 question when you write

size (x) where x is the matrix
it displays
ans = 1 101

what does 1 and 101 mean in this case ?

May I ask you some questions?:
What is the purpose of 'meshgrid' comment?
And in the last moment of the lecture, you typed 'why' and the command window showed a comment. I don't know why did it appear? Can you explained it for me?

MATLAB Essentials, Part 2

  • MATLAB general functions: MATLAB has some general functions such as date, time and calendar. On the other hand we also have commands as well which are parts of MATLAB core, clc and clear are examples of these.
  • Commands vs functions: functions usually return with a value where commands tend to change the environment in some way.
  • Scalars and arrays: scalars are single valued while vectors and arrays are made of multiple values.
  • Plot: in this session we only talk about a simple way of plotting 2-D graphs and it is using plot commands which take two input arguments.
