Feeney. Miyagi. Frizzle. These names mean something to anyone who grew up in the 1980s. Many people have a teacher in real life that inspired them to inquire, question, and learn. But after school, when they had finished their homework and had free time on their hands, everyone had these three fictional teachers to turn to for further inspiration. On television and film, teachers tend to run the gamut – from comedic to dramatic to downright unbelievable (some of these cinematic teachers went so far as to make mathematics interesting. No one can deny however, that they were all memorable.

Feeling a bit nostalgic for the teachers of yesteryear, we decided to compile some of the most memorable quotations from fictional teachers in film and television. And yes, Star Wars fans, of course we included Yoda.
