Tucson International Academy – East Review

Tucson International Academy opened their East campus in 2008 for students in kindergarten through 8th grade. On average, the school has 17 students enrolled per year. The school works as a team based community that pursues high academic achievement, used technology, foreign language, community involvement, and cultural understanding to prepare students for their future.

The administration, teachers, and staff hold true to strong values, which include trust, team, organization, creativity, excellence, discipline, love, community, and responsibility. All Tucson International Academy schools provide high-qualified staff, safe environment, small class size with 1 teacher per 20 students; languages taught in all grades include Spanish and Chinese, and a computer technology center.

Along with core subjects the school offers dance, drawing, drama, football, golf, cheerleading, basketball, physical education classes, debate, yearbook, science & technology, newspaper, and student council for students that wish to participate.

Parents are very pleased with the small class size and the one on one personal attention that students can receive. The staff, administration, and teachers are caring and devoted to each student and work toward ensuring all students receive the best quality education. Since there are, only a few students the one room environment may be good for some but with the large age difference of the students, some parents are not as happy with the school as others. The school is growing and when more students are enrolled, most parents believe the social activities for students will improve. With only 17 students in the entire school, there are not many sports or other activities as the school states that are available.
