Sanger Academy Charter School opened in 2000 for students in kindergarten through 8th grades. The school works mainly with gifted students with focuses on experiential learning. The school is diverse and provides students with a quality education that is personalized to ensure that all students can achieve success. The student body is comprised of 79% Hispanic or Latino, 15% White, 3% Asian, 2% African American, and 1% Filipino.

Along with core subjects, the school offers a variety of clubs and extra curricular activities including various events throughout the year. The sports offered at the school include basketball, softball, baseball, track, swim & dive, and volleyball. Students are pleased with all the activities that allow them to interact with their peers and enjoy more activities outside of the classroom.

Students that have graduated from Sanger Academy Charter School stated they appreciated the caring and devoted teachers that gave them the encouragement they needed to succeed. Parents like the small class size and the teachers that want every student to give their education their all. Students and parents alike are happy with the curriculum and had no negative remarks regarding any aspect of the school.

The Academic Performance Index showed an increase of 10 points from the previous year to a score of 907. The statewide goal is 800. Parents are very proud of this score and greatly appreciate the teachers that made it happen.

The California Standards Tests is used to learn if students are mastering core subjects. The various tests are given to 2nd through 11th grades in English, grades 2nd through 7th are given tests in math, and science tests are administered to students in grades 5th, 8th, and 10th, while history tests are given to students in 8th and 11th grades.

The percentage of students passing the exams was above average across the board in all grade levels and all subjects with most in the 90 percentile. Parents are once again pleased with the scores and are proud of their children.
