Pinnacle Charter High School opened in 2001 in Nogales being part of Pinnacle Education that was established in 1995 created for students that were having a hard time in traditional high schools in Arizona. The school is listed as an online or virtual school but also offers brick and mortar classes for those that wish to attend school in a building instead of at home. The computer-assisted instruction is great for many students as they have the ability to work at their own pace and not feel the pressure often found in traditional schools.

In the beginning, the first school was started in Tempe known at that time as Arizona Career Academy. The school was honored to be a national test site for Jostens Learning.

The benefits for students attending the Pinnacle Charter High School include online instructors, a personalized learning plan, support groups, life skills courses, along with day and evening sessions.

Students that wish to attend school online will enjoy the option of logging into the school at their convenience, have instructors available via chat, email, or phone, and for those attending full time courses their own virtual guidance counselor.

For those that wish to attend a campus will enjoy block scheduling where students attend school 4 hours per day.

Students that attend the school either virtually or at the schools location are very pleased with the support and the environment. Most students that want to succeed are not having any problems learning and are even graduating earlier than expected. Best of all, the flexible scheduling allows students to have a job, attend a regular school while making up credits or working toward graduation.
