Nuview Bridge High School Review

Nuview Bridge High School opened in 2001 for students in 9th through 12th grades. The focus is on core subjects and innovative programs that challenge each student for optimal results. They use scientific research paired with a rigorous and challenging curriculum.

What parents love is that the school offers access for the entire family to receive health services as well as social services and educational programs.

Being a small school, parents noted their children are being treated as individuals. Safety and great teachers are two other reasons why parents like this school so much. The students really do appreciate their teachers. The teachers notice if you are slacking off and try to correct the problem. Most parents stated that the small class size and challenging curriculum is perfect for their students. Other students stated they would like to see more activities offered such as sports and student clubs, but do enjoy attending the school.

The Academic Performance Index showed a score of 847 which was up 1 point from the previous year. The statewide goal is a score of 800 pleasing parents with the successful test scores.

The California Standards Tests is used to learn if students are mastering core subjects. The various tests are given to 2nd through 11th grades in English, grades 2nd through 7th are given tests in math, and science tests are administered to students in grades 5th, 8th, and 10th, while history tests are given to students in 8th and 11th grades.

The majority of the test scores for the students at Nuview Bridge High School showed results that were above the state averages. While some dipped below the averages, which was not a huge concern of parents.

California uses the California High School Exit Exam (CAHSEE) to test high school students’ skills in English language arts and mathematics. The 10th grade students surpassed the numbers set by the state in both subjects.

Nuview Bridge High School is providing an excellent education for students. If you have any concerns, it would be a good idea to talk with parents to ensure the learning environment is one that will fit with your family.
