Natomas Pacific Pathways Prep Review

Natomas Pacific Pathways Prep opened in 2006 for grades ninth through twelfth. The classes are theme-based with a strong focus on law and public service. The main focus is on a college prep liberal arts curriculum.

Parents speak highly of Natomas Pacific Pathways Prep because of its structure and dedication to the elements of law. Students are also exposed to internships, community service and an education abroad program. Guest speakers and mentorships are also available showing parents just how much their children can learn here.

The Academic Performance Index showed a score of 800, which is exactly the statewide goal of California for all schools. This was an increase over last year’s numbers showing parents that the school is growing.

Students love that the school is small and that they have awesome teachers. The one thing that they want is music programs to future explore possibilities. Again the parents raved about how nice the school is and how great the teachers really are. The students stated the work is difficult, but worth it so that they can have a future in law.

The California Standards Tests is used to learn if students are mastering core subjects. The various tests are given to 2nd through 11th grades in English, grades 2nd through 7th are given tests in math, and science tests are administered to students in grades 5th, 8th, and 10th, while history tests are given to students in 8th and 11th grades.

On the 9th, 10th and 11th grade exams there were high and low test scores. For example on the 11th grade Algebra II exam 0% of students passed. The state average was 15%.

On the California Exit exam the students in 10th grade that were tested excelled in both the English exam as well as the Math exam over the state averages.

If your students are interested in a career in law or wish to attend college, the school is providing the educational tools to succeed. If you would like to learn more prior to enrolling your child, it would be a good idea to take a tour.
