Magnolia Science Academy opened their Palms campus in 2009 for students in 6th through 12th grades. On average, the school has an enrollment of around 170 students per year.

The school provides a challenging standards based curriculum with college prep courses, small class size, technology blended education, advanced math and science program, free after school tutoring, and character education classes.

Along with core subjects, the Palms campus offers extra curricular activities similar to other Magnolia Science Academy schools, which may include painting, drama, and computer arts. Sports often found at the schools include available include basketball, physical education classes, soccer, tennis, and volleyball with other programs available such as academic contests, science & technology, debate, yearbook, student council, summer camps, robotics club, and Europe trips. In most cases, the Magnolia Science Academies offers at least one vocation program, which is technology.

All comments of parents were positive. Parents are very thrilled that the school is providing their children with a challenging and rewarding curriculum within a safe and nurturing learning environment. Students are very happy with the school and enjoy attending.

The Academic Performance Index was not available at the time of this writing. The statewide goal is 800.

The California Standards Tests is used to learn if students are mastering core subjects. The various tests are given to 2nd through 11th grades in English, grades 2nd through 7th are given tests in math, and science tests are administered to students in grades 5th, 8th, and 10th, while history tests are given to students in 8th and 11th grades. The percentage of students passing the exams was not available at this time.

Even with the positive comments from parents and students alike, since the results of the exams were not available it would be a good idea to talk with staff to learn how the students are doing compared to state averages before enrolling your child.
