Inspire School of Arts and Sciences Review

Inspire School of Arts and Sciences opened in 2010 to serve students in grades 9th through eleventh. Students are introduced to a rigorous curriculum that focuses on science, robotics, engineering, visual and performing arts.

The teachers and staff want each student to focus on their personal talents and goals while looking towards the future and their career choices. Real world problems are introduced to offer students the perspective they need to become successful.

Parent reviews of Inspire call the school a blessing and the name even translates to the teachers inspiring each and every student. The students are given a chance to be young adults and prepare for life after high school. Students are very happy with the school overall, but would like to see a few extra curricular activities.

The Academic Performance Index showed a decline in academic growth from 848 to 825. The statewide goal is 800.

The California Standards Tests is used to learn if students are mastering core subjects. The various tests are given to 2nd through 11th grades in English, grades 2nd through 7th are given tests in math, and science tests are administered to students in grades 5th, 8th, and 10th, while history tests are given to students in 8th and 11th grades.

The test scores for the students at Inspire School of Arts and Sciences were up and down with some grades surpassing the state averages and others falling below. For example 7% of 10th grade students passed the Geometry exam with the state at 17%.

The students in the 10th grades did make up in their test scores with the results from the California Exit exam. 96% passed the English exam. The state average was 83%. 91% passed the Math exam and the average was 84%.

Inspire School of Arts and Science is providing a quality education to students. It would still be a great idea to take a tour to learn if the environment is one that will help your child excel.
