Ida Jew Academies Review

Ida Jew Academies opened in 2010 for grades Kindergarten through 6th. The school focuses at this school is education based upon bilingual teachings. This ensures students will be well rounded in society. STEM, VAPA and ALAS academy programs are all used to achieve the best results.

Core subjects are taught as well as other courses to enrich the student’s daily lives such as performing arts. The teachers work closely with parents so that the highest level of success is reached.

Parents of students at Ida Jew Academies loved how involved the students can be in the hands on curriculum. The teachers are strong in their skill set and are prepared to help every child reach their highest potential. Students expressed they really like their teachers but wish there were more extra curricular activities.

The Academic Performance Index showed an academic growth increase from 763 to 833. The statewide goal is 800.

The California Standards Tests is used to learn if students are mastering core subjects. The various tests are given to 2nd through 11th grades in English, grades 2nd through 7th are given tests in math, and science tests are administered to students in grades 5th, 8th, and 10th, while history tests are given to students in 8th and 11th grades.

The majority of test results by students at Ida Jew Academies were above the state average. As an example, on the 7th grade Math exam 62% of students passed with the state average at 52%.

Even with the exams mainly being above state averages, it would be a good idea to take a tour to ensure the school is a good learning environment for their child.
