EduPreneurship Student Center (ESC) Phoenix Review

EduPreneurship Student Center (ESC) Phoenix opened in 1999 as a charter school for students in kindergarten through 8th grades. The school offers a very unique learning environment that centers on core curriculum skills, responsibilities, citizenship skills, and product based activities. The school does not use a grading system and uses multi-age classrooms.

Parents are very impressed with the small class size and personal attention that each student receives. Students enjoy going to school and describe their school as fun. Parents noted that their children are interested in learning; feel challenged, and love attending school. Many students that were having difficulties in other schools are now doing much better with their learning.

Students at EduPreneurship Student Center (ESC) Phoenix participated in the state required AIMS series of exams. The tests are provided to ensure that students are meeting the requirements of public schools including public charter schools in the state. Percentages of students that passed or exceeded the exam along with state averages are listed below.

In reading, 46% of 3rd graders passed or exceeded the exam with the state average at 76% and in math 38% with the state at 68%. In writing 33%, state averages were not available.

Percentage of 4th graders that passed or exceeded the exam in reading was 55%, in science 45%, and in math 36%, no state averages were available for these courses. In writing, 91% passed with the state at 83%.

Percentage of 5th graders that passed or exceeded the exam in reading was 46%, in writing 46%, and in math 61%, no state averages were available for these courses.

There is no data available on how 6th graders performed with the AIMS series of tests.

Percentage of 7th graders that passed or exceeded the exam in reading was 50%, in writing 60%, and in math 50%, no state averages were available for these courses.
Percentage of 8th graders that passed or exceeded the exam in reading was 60%, in science 20%, in writing 90%, and in math 60%, no state averages were available for these courses.
