Crestview College Preparatory High School Review


Crestview College Preparatory High School opened as a public charter school in 1996. The school has an average enrollment of 250 students in grades 9th through 12th. The school has options for students to obtain credits they may behind on as well as accelerate graduation along with a unique preparatory program.

The school offers different scheduling to fit the needs of student in either block scheduling or longer school days. College preparation offered at Crestview College Preparatory High School includes college prep and community college classes.

Along with advanced and core subjects, the school also offers extra curricular activities including dance, drama, and painting. Sports offered include soccer, football, basketball, and cheerleading. The only student club offered is yearbook.

Parents are pleased with the strong bond that is seen between teachers, staff, and students. Teachers are caring and work with each student to reach their goals. Parents were happy with the college preparatory program that helped their children be prepared for their college years both academically and socially. Small class size with a nurturing learning environment is at the top of the list when it comes to this charter school.

Students that had considered dropping out of high school once entering Crestview College Preparatory High School became more involved in school and were excited about the opportunities offered.

Students in Arizona must meet the standards set forth in the Arizona’s Instrument to Measure Standards in order to graduate from high school. Percentages of students at Crestview College Preparatory High School that met or exceeded the standards of the exam as well as the percentages of students attending public schools in the state are listed below.

In reading, 59% of 10th grade students passed or exceeded the exam with the state average at 78%, in science 19% with the state at 42%, in writing 54% with the state at 68%, and in math 42% with the state at 60%.
