College Ready Academy HS # 16 is part of network of Alliance College-Ready Public Schools being the largest nonprofit charter organization in Los Angeles. This campus opened in 2011 and serves students in 9th through 12th grades. The school offers a college prep standards based curriculum for students that are low income.

College Ready Academy HS # 16 provides students with small class sizes and individualized learning environments. The learning style and learning scheme are determined by the teacher, student, and parents to ensure it will fit the needs of each student. The Alliance College-Ready Public Schools student body is comprised of 87% are Latino and 13% are African American with 22% being English-Language Learners.

At this time, the school does not offer any extra curricular activities, sports, or student clubs.

Parents stated the school is doing an excellent job in providing their children with the tools needed to achieve a high school diploma and to go on to college. Students expressed they like the teachers that truly help them with any problems they may have. Most students expressed they enjoy going to school and feel the campus is safe. The majority of students are very happy that they are able to earn the credits needed to graduate and will have the opportunity to attend college.

The Academic Performance Index placed College Ready Academy HS # 16 at 748. The results of the California Standards Tests and the California High School Exit Exam were not available at the time of this writing.

The Alliance College-Ready Public Schools overall since their beginning in 2004 have seen 96% of their seniors graduate with 99% of entering college.

The school is doing a wonderful job preparing students for a college or university education while preparing them to enter the workforce. Students are becoming life long learners that want to succeed.
