Civano Charter School Review

Civano Charter School opened in 1996 to provide a non-traditional and quality education for students in kindergarten through 8th grades. The school offers not only core subjects but provides a caring and nurturing learning environment with small class size and dedicated teachers. The average enrollment yearly is 66 students.

Along with the core subjects extra curricular activities include dance, theater, painting, and sculpture. Sports available include physical education classes and swimming.

Parents are more than pleased with the education experience their children are receiving within a family style environment. Each morning begins with children singing a positive song and group sharing which aids in providing social skills where each student will learn their own importance as well as social skills. Parents praise the teachers and staff at Civano Charter School for being involved and working with each student on a one on one level. Parents express their children are up and ready to go to school every morning and are excited with their classes.

Another parent loves the whole child environment that allows students to work at their own pace with teachers nearby for any student that needs help.

The school is a bit different in their class division which is kindergarten and 1st grade together, 2nd and 3rd grades together, and 4th and 5th together. Children are involved in being a green community via gardening, recycling, composting, and learning more about how to become green as well as the importance.
