Arizona Agribusiness & Equine Center -Estrella Mountain Campus Review

Arizona Agribusiness & Equine Center opened their Estrella Mountain Campus in 2010 for students in grades 9th through 12 grades. The school is located in Avondale and has received high ratings for the curriculum, teachers, and staff that work toward providing a safe and nurturing environment for students.

The school offers extra-curricular activities including dance, photography, theater, and drawing. Languages offered include German and Spanish. Special programs include academic contests, newspaper, student government, community service, yearbook, science & technology with vocation program opportunities like agriculture/ food science.

The school encourages students the opportunity to earn their college Associates Degree while still attending high school. This is a wonderful opportunity not only for students but also for parents with the costs of college education rising every day.

Parents have nothing negative to say about the school but love the horsemanship, vet science, college courses, and great FFA program.

In the state of Arizona, the Arizona Instrument Measurement Standard is given to students in 10th grades to learn if the students are performing at or above the standards set forth by the state.

In reading, 82% of 10th graders passed or exceeded the exam with the state average of students being at 78%, in science 56% passed or exceeding the exam while the state average was 42%, in writing 75% passed with the state average at 68%, and in math 89% of students passed while the state average was 60%.

With the great reviews of parents, teachers, and students and the AIMS exams it would be safe to say that charter is above average when it comes to the quality of education the school provides. The teachers are very attentive and give their all when it comes to providing top-notch educational needs and tools to ensure all students can and will succeed.
