American Heritage Academy – Camp Verde Campus Review

The American Heritage Academy opened the Camp Verde Campus in 2006 for students in kindergarten through 8th grades. The school has an average enrollment of 38 students; therefore, the classrooms are small providing a more individualized teaching structure and nurturing environment.

The school offers a traditional curriculum that centers on the basic skills as well as critical analysis. The school works toward restoring the traditional values that made the United States a great nation. The core classes include Science, Mathematics, English, History, Government, Leadership, and Community Service. The American Heritage Academy also offers elective classes in yearbook, sports, drama, band, art, choir, government simulations, home economics, photography, and hunter safety.

The Hillsdale Academy liberal arts curriculum is used at the American Heritage Academy, which is a liberal arts curriculum. This type of curriculum includes patriotism, hands on science, phonics, Saxon Math, and American founding fathers and other great leaders of our country.

Parents work with the school and are encouraged by staff to be involved in the learning process. All parents are happy with the curriculum and the progress of their children. The principles that are blended into the curriculum are the main reason parents want their children to attend the American Heritage Academy.
