Plant Reproduction and Development

  • Plant reproduction has been extensively studied and exploited in agriculture. Over hundreds of years, breeding programs have selected many of the plant traits we take for granted every time we walk through the produce section of a grocery store.

  • In this Lesson, we’ll learn about the asexual and sexual reproductive strategies found in different types of plants. We’ll also learn about the origin of seeds and fruits, and find out how seeds develop into new plants.
