The Lymphatic System and the Blood
Our bodies must continually defend themselves against infection, cuts, and bruises. One body system responsible for the body's defenses is the lymphatic system. Without a healthy lymphatic system, we could die from a simple infection or bleed to death from a small cut.
The lymphatic system also helps maintain the level of fluid in the circulatory system. Because of its roles, the lymphatic system is tightly associated with the circulatory system.
In this Lesson, we'll look at the structure and roles of the lymphatic system. We'll also discuss the different roles of the components of blood.
